Round gold enamel powder box Violettes Paris circa 1860. On a noble, dark brown background with a golden net and antique grotesques, the lid depicts a preening nymph with a cupid adorning her hair. The vignette at the base depicts a flirtatious scene, apparently with the same cherub, dove and basket of flowers, again in pursuit of the escaping mistress. Labeled: Violettes Paris. On the inside of the rim there is a memorial date: April 18, 1880. Parisian gold hallmarks from 1838, corresponding to 750 standard, are on the bottom of the powder compact. Inside the lid there is an original mirror. Height: 3cm. length-5cm. Weight:73.94g

A Russian silver cylindrical shot cup crafted in 84 silver and richly decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamel. The exterior surface is entirely covered with an elaborate ornamental composition built on symmetrical floral and foliate motifs, incorporating stylized blossoms and scrolling elements characteristic of the Moscow silversmithing tradition of the late nineteenth century. The enamel palette features deep cobalt blue, turquoise, white and red tones, emphasized by the precise rhythm of silver cloisons. The interior surface is smooth, with a natural silver patina, creating a refined contrast with the vivid enamel decoration of the exterior. The object exemplifies a high level of craftsmanship and masterful command of the cloisonné enamel technique.Hallmarks: Maker’s mark “KLINGERT” – Gustav Gustavovich Klingert; Moscow assay mark with silver standard “84”; Assay master’s mark “A.S” – Alexander Alexeyevich Smirnov, dated 1893.Dimensions: Height 6.7 cm; Diameter 5 cm.Weight: 82 g.Condition: Good. SILVER SNUFF BOX WITH BLUE GUILLOCHÉ ENAMEL. FIRM OF I. MARSHAK ST PETERSBURG, 1899–1908

An elegant rectangular silver snuff box, executed by the silversmith Ivan Savelyevich Britsyn for the firm of Joseph Abramovich Marshak in St Petersburg. The lid is decorated with deep blue guilloché enamel forming a radiating sunburst pattern, converging toward a central accent set with a diamond, interpreted as a symbolic representation of a luminary.The composition is further enhanced by finely executed laurel garlands in two-colour gold, emphasising the ceremonial and status-driven character of the object. The strict geometry of the form, combined with restrained ornamentation and the noble contrast of enamel and precious metals, reflects the aesthetics of late Imperial jewellery art at the turn of the 20th century. The sides are adorned with delicate guilloché engraving, creating a refined play of light. The interior is fully gilded, in keeping with the highest standards of manufacture for luxury silver objects of the period.Marks: Maker’s mark “I. MARSHAK” of the firm of Joseph Abramovich Marshak, St Petersburg; St Petersburg assay mark with silver fineness “88” and kokoshnik head; Master’s mark “I.B” corresponding to Ivan Savelyevich Britsyn.Dimensions: 7 × 3.7 × 1.5 cm.Weight: 150 g.Condition: Good collector’s condition.Provenance: Private collection.
