A grand buffet-showcase of the Art Nouveau era, the beginning of the 20th century. The world-creating beginning, the synthesis of the universe and the family, the family hearth - in this grandiose projection of the world tree. Stylizes the shape of the crown of the world tree, motifs of sprouting shoots and flowers. The double glazed showcase, complemented by lateral drop-shaped segments, gives the impression of an overgrown crown. Its upward movement and solidity begins with the root system of legs and grass shoots, on the blind doors of the lower cabinet. The idea of the world tree, the core of the universe, is included in household use and overshadows family meals and ennobles life. Symmetry, drop-shaped glazing and the motif of buds in the entablature make it related to Art Nouveau aesthetics.

A small masterpiece of the second Rococo. Petit prince, (The Little Prince). It is a richly decorated chest of drawers-secretary with legs cabriole. Luxurious bronze waves cover the smooth silhouette of the walnut case. Its frivolity, playfulness in the seemingly casually mentioned functions; of a bookshelf, a little bit of a secretary, and of a chest . Under the double-winged upper display case, there is a working area with a hinged lid.Provenance: Private estate in the Schleswig-Holstein region. 19th century.
