BALUNIN MIKHAIL ABRAMOVICH (1875-1938) Russian painter, graphic artist.
Born in St. Petersburg in 1875. Studied at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists (1890s). Since 1906 he took part in exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the "Petrograd Society of Artists" (1891, 1918), "Association of Artists" (1904-1924), "Society of Russian Watercolors" (1914-1917), "Society of Individualist Artists" (1926, 1928, 1929), " A. Kuindzhi Society "(1930). From 1907 he collaborated with the Niva magazine, where the master′s paintings were reproduced. He painted landscapes and genre paintings. Works are presented in the Sevastopol and Samara art museums and many other regional museums, as well as in private collections.
