Austere and refined wavy birch furniture set of a pair of Russian armchairs and table in the empire style of the Pavlovsk palace, with monolithic and luxurious surfaces. In the center of the table and at the base of the backs of the chairs there are solar rosettes, the semantic, compositional and stylistic center of the work.

Origin: From the family of Alfred Schønebeck (b. Varde, 1885, Copenhagen, 1931), a Danish employee of the Great Northern Telegraph Company. From 1904 he worked in Riga. Since 1921, a representative of the company in St. Petersburg.There he and his wife actively collected Russian art and antiques.In 1929, Alfred Schoenberg was appointed manager of the Copenhagen head office, where he moved and relocated the impressive collection.
