REQUEST AN APPRAISAL

ANTIQON provides professional and confidential preliminary appraisals of works of art, antiques, and collectible objects.

Each property is reviewed individually, taking into account its artistic, historical, collecting, and market characteristics, as well as its potential suitability for sale through an auction, gallery placement, the Buy Now format, or Private Sales through ANTIQON.

HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST

Preliminary appraisals are conducted remotely through the enquiry form available on the ANTIQON website.

To submit a request, it is recommended to:

complete the online form;

upload photographs of the property;

provide any known information about the property;

leave contact details for follow-up communication.

Following receipt of the request, an ANTIQON specialist may contact you to obtain additional information, photographs, or details required for the preliminary review of the property.

REQUIRED INFORMATION

To enable a preliminary appraisal, it is recommended to provide:

general photographs of the property;

photographs of the reverse side, details, signatures, hallmarks, or markings;

dimensions and materials of the property (if known);

any known provenance information;

documents, certificates, or expert reports (if available).

The more complete the information provided, the more accurate the preliminary appraisal may be.

APPRAISAL TIMEFRAME

The review period depends on the category of the property, the completeness of the information provided, and whether consultation with specialist experts is required.

As a general guideline:

an initial response is usually provided within 2–5 business days;

complex, rare, or research-intensive property may require additional time;

in certain cases, ANTIQON may consult external experts and advisers.

ANTIQON reserves the right to adjust appraisal timeframes depending on the characteristics of the property and the scope of research required.

COST

Preliminary appraisals are provided free of charge.

In certain cases:

in-depth examinations;

additional research;

aboratory analysis;

preparation of formal expert reports;

consultations with external specialists

may be provided on a fee basis subject to prior agreement.

Any preliminary appraisal is provided for guidance only and does not constitute an obligation on the part of ANTIQON to accept the property for sale, to sell the property, or to achieve any particular value.

CONFIDENTIALITY

ANTIQON places particular importance on the confidentiality of information provided by property owners.

All materials and information submitted are treated as confidential and are used solely for:

appraisal purposes;

internal review of the property;

preparation of a potential proposal for cooperation;

communication with the owner of the property.

ANTIQON:

does not disclose information to third parties without the owner’s consent, except where necessary for appraisal purposes or where required by law;

complies with GDPR requirements and its internal privacy policy;

may provide enhanced confidentiality measures for certain categories of clients and property.
