You may register:

  • through partner auction platforms;
  • by submitting a request via email;
  • by contacting the ANTIQON team directly;

Participation in ANTIQON auctions is primarily conducted online. In certain cases, ANTIQON may organise auctions with in-room bidding, telephone bidding, or attendance at invitation-only or pre-registered events.

Information regarding the format of a particular auction and the available bidding methods is published separately for each auction.

To complete registration, you must provide basic information, including:

  • full name;
  • contact details;
  • residential address;
  • where required, identification documents and proof of address.

Participation in certain auctions or access to specific categories of lots may require additional verification, confirmation of registration, or acceptance of special conditions applicable to the relevant auction.

Registration is deemed complete only upon confirmation by ANTIQON.

ANTIQON reserves the right to request additional information or documentation and to conduct further verification prior to granting access to bidding, in accordance with its internal security procedures, AML/KYC policy, and applicable legislation.

VERIFICATION AND BIDDING LIMITS

ANTIQON conducts verification of auction participants in accordance with applicable legislation, internal security procedures, AML/KYC policies, and sanctions compliance requirements.

In order to participate in auctions, live bidding, absentee bidding, and certain categories of lots, ANTIQON may request:

  • proof of identity;
  • proof of residential address;
  • company information and details of beneficial owners;
  • information regarding the source of funds;
  • additional documents, information, or explanations.

Verification may be carried out both during account registration and at any time prior to completion of the transaction or delivery of the purchased lot.

Depending on the category of property, lot value, participant jurisdiction, purchasing history, or internal security procedures, ANTIQON reserves the right to:

  • establish bidding limits;
  • request a deposit or proof of financial capacity;
  • restrict access to specific auctions or lots;
  • temporarily suspend participation in bidding until verification has been completed.

ANTIQON reserves the right to refuse registration, access to bidding, participation in an auction, or completion of a transaction in cases provided for by applicable law, internal security procedures, AML/KYC policies, or sanctions-related restrictions.

All verification procedures are conducted confidentially and solely for the purposes of legal compliance, protection of auction participants, fraud prevention, and the security of transactions.

Available bidding methods may include:

By placing a bid, a participant acknowledges that he or she:

  • has reviewed the lot description, photographs, and Condition Report;
  • accepts the rules and conditions of the relevant auction;
  • confirms readiness to pay for the successful lot, Buyer’s Premium, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and any other applicable costs.

Auction Process

Bidding is conducted through successive increases in bid amounts.

The auctioneer conducts the auction, announces current bids, determines the successful bidder, and may resolve any disputes arising during the course of the auction.

ANTIQON reserves the right to:

  • reject any bid;
  • reopen bidding;
  • combine or divide lots;
  • withdraw a lot from sale;
  • change the order of lots;

During the auction, the next minimum bid increment is automatically displayed within the online bidding system.

Successful Bidder

The successful bidder shall be the participant who has placed the highest accepted bid at the close of bidding for a particular lot.

Upon the fall of the hammer, or upon official confirmation of the close of bidding, a binding contract of sale is deemed concluded between the seller and the buyer.

In the event of any dispute arising during the auction, the final decision shall be made by ANTIQON.

ANTIQON reserves the right to:

  • determine the successful bidder;
  • reopen bidding;
  • cancel an erroneous bid;
  • cancel the result of bidding for a specific lot in the event of a technical error, platform malfunction, or other material circumstance.

Technical Limitations

ANTIQON shall not be liable for:

  • interruptions of internet connectivity;
  • delays in data transmission;
  • technical failures of bidding platforms;
  • errors of third-party services or partner platforms.

Participants are strongly encouraged to place important bids in advance and not to rely solely on the final seconds of bidding.

PURCHASE AND PAYMENT

Following the conclusion of the auction, the successful bidder will receive an invoice covering the successful lot, Buyer’s Premium, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and any other applicable costs.

Payment must be made within the timeframe specified in the auction conditions or on the issued invoice.

The amount of the Buyer’s Premium is determined by the rules of the relevant auction.

By registering for an auction, each participant confirms that he or she has reviewed and accepted the auction conditions, including the applicable Buyer’s Premium, payment terms, and any other relevant fees or charges.

  • restrict the buyer’s participation in future auctions;

Until full payment has been received, ANTIQON reserves the right to retain possession of the property.

AML/KYC and Payment Verification

ANTIQON may request additional documents or information prior to accepting payment, releasing property, or completing a transaction in accordance with its AML/KYC policies, sanctions compliance requirements, and internal security procedures.

ANTIQON reserves the right to refuse acceptance of payment or completion of a transaction in cases provided for by applicable law or internal verification procedures.

SELLER AND CONTRACTING PARTY

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the conditions of a particular auction or in the relevant transaction documents, the seller and contracting party to the sale is SIA ANTIQON, a company registered in the Republic of Latvia.

ANTIQON representative offices, contact addresses, partners, or affiliated companies located in other countries may perform informational, marketing, organisational, or service-related functions and shall not be considered a party to the transaction unless expressly stated otherwise in the relevant sale documentation.

SHIPPING AND COLLECTION OF LOTS

Release, packing, storage, export, and delivery of purchased property are carried out only after full payment of the relevant invoice, unless otherwise agreed with ANTIQON.

Collection of Lots

Purchased lots may be collected:

  • by the buyer in person;
  • by a third party authorised by the buyer;
  • through a transport or logistics company;
  • through specialised fine art shipping services;
  • by any other method agreed with ANTIQON.

Collection of a lot by the buyer, an authorised representative, or a carrier shall take place only after full payment of all amounts due in connection with the purchase.

If the buyer authorises a third party to collect a lot, the buyer must provide ANTIQON in advance with a power of attorney or written authorisation containing the details of the authorised person.

Such authorisation must be submitted using the contact details provided by the buyer during registration or purchase.

If the buyer requests that ANTIQON arrange delivery to a third party or to an address different from the buyer’s registered details, the buyer must complete and submit a Delivery Request Form in advance.

  • propose available shipping options;
  • assist with export documentation;
  • recommend logistics partners.

All costs relating to packing, shipping, insurance, export permits, export licences, customs clearance, taxes, duties, and any related expenses shall be borne by the buyer.

Delivery times are estimates only and may depend on:

  • customs procedures;
  • export restrictions;
  • the performance of shipping providers;
  • the nature of the property.

Export and Export Permits

Certain categories of property may require export permits or cultural property export licences in accordance with applicable legislation.

The buyer is responsible for complying with the laws of the destination country, including import restrictions, taxes, duties, and licensing requirements.

ANTIQON shall not be liable for any inability to export or import property, or for delays caused by governmental authorities, customs services, or changes in legislation.

Transfer of Risk

The risk of accidental loss or damage to a lot shall pass to the buyer:

  • upon physical collection of the lot by the buyer; or
  • upon delivery of the lot to a carrier or transport company where shipment is arranged on behalf of the buyer.

All shipments arranged by ANTIQON are insured for the full value of the property. The cost of insurance is included in the shipping charges and is payable by the buyer.
