A pair of graceful, full-length figures Moors. Polychrome painting on wood. France 19th century. H-150 cm Salon decoration in the form of doorkeepers of the Moors - an integral part of the Victorian era, the colonial conquests in general. Presented in rich oriental attire, in addition to a representative task, they perform the function of a smoker, a kind of substitute for servants.

Authors bronze statue Boy with Roosters Paul CHEVRE. H - 75 cm. Represents the work of the famous Franco-Canadian master of the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. It depicts a Boy taking apart fighting cocks. This gambling and fighting event was conveyed in an anti-censoring manner; a naked young man and in the pathos of gestures represent it. A slightly deviated figure of a young man gives way to angry roosters and their line of aggression crosses the line of the boy and loincloth. Their expressive nature creates energy and strength and also sets off the noble patina of the young man’s smooth body.

The goddess sits down and draws water from a sacred spring. Multidirectional movements of the hands and head focus attention on the gaze, as if containing a question about the nature of the divine. The gaze is turned to the water or reflection. Leaving a jug prolongs the time of contemplation. Figure dimensions: 89x50x49 cm. Weight: 120 kg.
