Magnificent holidays with a passionate row, an annual menaion and a two-row cycle of icons of the Mother of God - a kind of encyclopedia of the Mother of God images. A majestic monument to Christianity and late Russian icon painting, where in one image the annual and Mother of God universe of Orthodoxy is revealed, full of sacrifice. With the epicenter of suffering and resurrection, the testimony of all the upcoming saints and with hope in the miraculous images of the intercessor. The Virgin Mary series is interrupted by the marks of Unexpected Joy, Joy of All Who Sorrow, the Sign and Coronation of Mary - milestones of the communion and growth of spiritual truths. The Passion Series is composed of: the Ascension of Mary, the Old Testament Trinity, the Entry into Jerusalem, the Raising of Lazarus, the Washing of the Feet, the Last Supper, the Flagellation of Christ, the Imposition of the Crown of Thorns, the Carrying of the Cross, the Crucifixion, the Descent from the Cross and the Entombment. Particularly attractive is the rare completeness of the lists of icons of the Mother of God, which can serve as an encyclopedia of the Mother of God images. It represents a symbiosis of classical themes, Fauvian technique and impressionistic relationships in the painting of neo-traditionalism of the 1930s. A monumental painting depicting a naked couple under the shade of trees against the backdrop of bridling horses not far from the sea. A couple in love, like Adam and Eve, talk with interest and study each other, as if getting used to each other. They are contrasted by skin color and light. She, under the spotlights of the sun, is white, voluminous and alluring. He is tanned in the shade, strong and brutal. With a look, a gesture, the enthusiasm of youth, he turns to her. The basis of their bed is made up of bright fabrics laid out on the ground. In them, scarlet spots complement the picturesque green foliage. The pastoral relaxation of the couple contrasts with the active background, where they throw a bridle on the horses. Which symbolically anticipates the young man’s luck in love. Oval coffee table in mahogany and gilded bronze in the Louis XVI style. Late nineteenth century based on the model of Adam Weisweiler. The table top has a shape close to an oval with four semicircular protrusions, to which figured elegant table legs with gilded mascarons are attached in the lower part. Bronze overlays and linear edging of the edge of the lid and its wooden sides (table waist) are made with high quality casting, embossing and gilding. The table top is decorated over the entire surface with a geometric marquetry pattern, which contrasts beautifully with the gilded edging of the table. The decor uses motifs traditional for the era of classicism, made in the antique spirit - ribbon and floral patterns, flower heads, cornucopia, figurines of lying rams, maiden heads. The table legs are completed at the bottom with bronze shoe-shaped plates with a relief foliage pattern. In the front part of the table (at the waist) there is a drawer lid. It, due to the decor, similar to the decor repeating the gilded bronze decor of other sides of the table waist, is carefully hidden. Material: wood, mahogany veneer, carving, polishing, bronze, casting, embossing, Dimensions: 99 x 64 x 72 cm.
