Openwork silver cup holder of the second Rococo with a glass, Carl Gustav Ekqvist, 1851. From the base of the cup holder, ivy grows an ornate shoot-handle. Its playful mood is transmitted to the glass inserted in the cupholder. The pink color of the glass suggests a more fun pastime than a tea ceremony.Hallmarks: 84, letters CGE corresponding to silver cases to the master Carl Gustav Ekqvist, assay mark 1851 poorly readable initials of the assay master. Total weight: 190 gr. N-10.5cm.

Large Russian silver cup, created by master Ekvist Carl Gustav in the mid-19th century, amazes with its fine workmanship and rich decorative decoration. The design of the cup glorifies the art of winemaking: graceful gilded garlands of grapevine with bunches of grapes are harmoniously intertwined with figures of music-making nymphs, creating an atmosphere of antique sophistication. Rocaille motifs with winged horses and flowerpots add expressiveness and dynamics to the composition. The handles of the cup, designed in the form of a grapevine, create an effect of sculptural sophistication and refinement, echoing the aesthetics of the classicism style. The massive stem of the cup is decorated with a luxurious rocal gilded plant ornament, where every detail is executed with amazing skill and attention to detail. The internal silver insert emphasizes the practicality of the product, while perfectly complementing its artistic perfection. Hallmarks: The initials CGE in a rectangular shield, indicating the master Ekvist Carl Gustav; The hallmark of the St. Petersburg Assay Office with poorly legible numbers 18?? under the letters A.K., presumably referring to Andrei Antonovich Kovalsky (1827-1856); The sign of the 84th assay value in a rectangular shield, corresponding to the silver standards of the mid-19th century; The coat of arms of St. Petersburg; The French hallmark in the form of the head of Mercury in a round shield; An unknown hallmark with the Latin letters RM. We present you with a large jewellry chest crafted in bronze with medal patina in the neo-gothic style and hailing from the Napoleon II period. It boasts practical dimensions (34cm x 35cm) and intricate ornamentation. Its entrance is concealed by a mechanism, rendering it invisible. The chests decoration features figures, columns, friezes, and repeating motifs reminiscent of techniques employed during the era of Violet le Duc. It is equipped with two handles for easy transport, as it weighs around twenty kilograms. The interior is lined with mahogany for delicate jewelry storage, while the lid interior is padded with light blue taffeta. The condition of this object is very good, despite its old age.
