Unique porcelain set made at the Sevres Porcelain Manufactory (Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres) in the first half of the 19th century. The set consists of two tall vases and one wide central flowerpot. The vases are decorated with a polychrome pattern depicting gallant scenes, gilded floral patterns on a cobalt background known as bleu lapis. The inner part of the central flowerpot is decorated with flower garlands and a central bouquet made using the technique of polychrome painting. Vases are mounted on a bronze polygonal base. Decorative pens in the form of female forms are made of gilded mercury bronze characteristic of the era of the first part of the 19th century. The vases end with removable covers decorated with floral motifs and gilded pine cones.Hallmarks: Letter A placed inside the monogram, Letter S ... placed under the monogramSize: Central flowerpot H W D - 43 47 25 cm, Vase H W D - 71 28 21 cm (2)

PAUL SORMANI (1817-1877). A magnificent secretary made of royal wood veneer, on curved legs, richly decorated with a large painted panel on the facade and hinged lid of the secretary depicting ancient lovers running to a fountain. Decorated with an ensemble of gilded frames with elements of plant motifs and corner mascarons - flower shoots with sprouted female heads. The drawer is decorated in waves with bronze foliage and touching shoots of handles. The curves of the legs and their bases are also emphasized by the gilded bronze ensemble. From the top, the secretaire ends with a vast platform behind a gilded balustrade. The interior space of the secretary is busily divided by a shelf into two parts, the lower of which is equipped with four small mahogany drawers, the upper of which are turnkey. The writing table is upholstered in green velvet. Lock plate signed Paul Sormani 10 r. Charlotte Paris. Second half of the 19th century. Dimensions: Height: 137 cm. Width: 87 cm. Depth: 39 cm.
