Charming Crimean study capturing the vivid beauty of the southern coast on a hot summer day. The painting depicts a rocky shoreline washed by the sea, with a small house under a green roof and tall cypresses set against the backdrop of blue mountains. The artist skillfully employs plein-air techniques — free brushwork, vibrant colors, and the shimmering play of light and air. The windy day’s dynamics are expressed through the interplay of waves and clouds, while compositional harmony is achieved through the balance of diagonal lines of the shore and the verticals of trees.
