Biscuit figure "Dying Gall". Made from the sculpture of the same name of the Hellenistic era. The sculpture, in terms of naturalism and drama, belongs to the heights of ancient art. Gallus is depicted lying on a shield, naked, except for the neck bondage. Was a response to the collision of the Greek world with the waves of migration of peoples. Attributed to the court sculptor Attalus I - Epigon. H-9.5 cm. Germany. Early 20th century.

Silver caviar jar made in the form of a rustic basket with a lid, imitating relief weaving of bast. The jar is decorated with a trompe l`oeil, made in the form of a woven napkin tied with a woven rope. The napkin is decorated with a relief geometric pattern imitating Russian-style embroidery on fabric. The edges of the napkin are decorated with fringe. Silver, stamping, embossing, chasing, engraving. Russian Empire, Moscow. 1892. Hallmarks: master`s mark in the form of the letters GL in a square shield. - Lizerin Girshi Gaselevich, assay mark in the form of a fraction, in the numerator of which are the letters A.S, and in the denominator the year of assaying - 1892; silver sample - 84 in a square shield; Moscow Assay Office sign in the form of an image of St. George the Victorious on horseback (oriented to the left) in a figured shield. Assay master - Smirnov Alexander Alekseevich. Dimensions: height - 14.5 cm, weight 403 g.
