An exquisite silver ladle, made in the shape of a boat, is a magnificent example of decorative and applied art of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, created in the neo-Russian style. This artistic tradition combines elements of ancient Russian architecture and ornamentation, which is clearly evident in the design of the ladle. The inside of the ladle and the curved handle are decorated with an elegant floral ornament made using the cloisonné enamel technique. The central element of the composition is a double-headed eagle, the official symbol of the Russian Empire, skillfully decorated with turquoise enamel and framed by a refined gilded edging. The composition is complemented by a complex floral pattern made in rich and pastel shades, creating a harmonious balance and emphasizing the sophistication of the work. Hallmarks: The master`s name in Cyrillic letters NZ. Assay mark of Saint Petersburg with the image of the city coat of arms and the number 84, in an oval shield, corresponding to the last quarter of the 19th century. A Russian silver cylindrical shot cup crafted in 84 silver and richly decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamel. The exterior surface is entirely covered with an elaborate ornamental composition built on symmetrical floral and foliate motifs, incorporating stylized blossoms and scrolling elements characteristic of the Moscow silversmithing tradition of the late nineteenth century. The enamel palette features deep cobalt blue, turquoise, white and red tones, emphasized by the precise rhythm of silver cloisons. The interior surface is smooth, with a natural silver patina, creating a refined contrast with the vivid enamel decoration of the exterior. The object exemplifies a high level of craftsmanship and masterful command of the cloisonné enamel technique.Hallmarks: Maker’s mark “KLINGERT” – Gustav Gustavovich Klingert; Moscow assay mark with silver standard “84”; Assay master’s mark “A.S” – Alexander Alexeyevich Smirnov, dated 1893.Dimensions: Height 6.7 cm; Diameter 5 cm.Weight: 82 g.Condition: Good. Silver plated English wine cooler, stylized organic forms of bluebell, acanthus, grape leaves, medieval ivy. They form the handles and base of the cooler. Intricate and spontaneous foliage creeps into the main volume. The lively sound of the decor, historical reflections, make the object similar to the atmosphere of the English Pre-Raphaelites of the mid-19th century, with English Art and Craft.Coat of arms with the inscription FATO PROVIDENTIA MAJOR Manufacturers mark.
