Large Russian silver cup, created by master Ekvist Carl Gustav in the mid-19th century, amazes with its fine workmanship and rich decorative decoration. The design of the cup glorifies the art of winemaking: graceful gilded garlands of grapevine with bunches of grapes are harmoniously intertwined with figures of music-making nymphs, creating an atmosphere of antique sophistication. Rocaille motifs with winged horses and flowerpots add expressiveness and dynamics to the composition. The handles of the cup, designed in the form of a grapevine, create an effect of sculptural sophistication and refinement, echoing the aesthetics of the classicism style. The massive stem of the cup is decorated with a luxurious rocal gilded plant ornament, where every detail is executed with amazing skill and attention to detail. The internal silver insert emphasizes the practicality of the product, while perfectly complementing its artistic perfection. Hallmarks: The initials CGE in a rectangular shield, indicating the master Ekvist Carl Gustav; The hallmark of the St. Petersburg Assay Office with poorly legible numbers 18?? under the letters A.K., presumably referring to Andrei Antonovich Kovalsky (1827-1856); The sign of the 84th assay value in a rectangular shield, corresponding to the silver standards of the mid-19th century; The coat of arms of St. Petersburg; The French hallmark in the form of the head of Mercury in a round shield; An unknown hallmark with the Latin letters RM. An exquisite silver ladle, made in the shape of a boat, is a magnificent example of decorative and applied art of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, created in the neo-Russian style. This artistic tradition combines elements of ancient Russian architecture and ornamentation, which is clearly evident in the design of the ladle. The inside of the ladle and the curved handle are decorated with an elegant floral ornament made using the cloisonné enamel technique. The central element of the composition is a double-headed eagle, the official symbol of the Russian Empire, skillfully decorated with turquoise enamel and framed by a refined gilded edging. The composition is complemented by a complex floral pattern made in rich and pastel shades, creating a harmonious balance and emphasizing the sophistication of the work. Hallmarks: The master`s name in Cyrillic letters NZ. Assay mark of Saint Petersburg with the image of the city coat of arms and the number 84, in an oval shield, corresponding to the last quarter of the 19th century. A Russian silver cylindrical shot cup crafted in 84 silver and richly decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamel. The exterior surface is entirely covered with an elaborate ornamental composition built on symmetrical floral and foliate motifs, incorporating stylized blossoms and scrolling elements characteristic of the Moscow silversmithing tradition of the late nineteenth century. The enamel palette features deep cobalt blue, turquoise, white and red tones, emphasized by the precise rhythm of silver cloisons. The interior surface is smooth, with a natural silver patina, creating a refined contrast with the vivid enamel decoration of the exterior. The object exemplifies a high level of craftsmanship and masterful command of the cloisonné enamel technique.Hallmarks: Maker’s mark “KLINGERT” – Gustav Gustavovich Klingert; Moscow assay mark with silver standard “84”; Assay master’s mark “A.S” – Alexander Alexeyevich Smirnov, dated 1893.Dimensions: Height 6.7 cm; Diameter 5 cm.Weight: 82 g.Condition: Good.
