MEDAL DISPLAY CABINET EUROPE, TURN OF THE 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY

An elegant wall-mounted display cabinet for the storage and presentation of medals, executed in the spirit of French Neoclassicism of the Louis XVI period. The elongated rectangular body with softly rounded corners is veneered in rosewood and decorated with geometric parquetry composed of squares and panels, forming a строгий, rhythmically structured ornamental composition. The central door features an elongated oval viewing window framed by a finely cast gilt-bronze mount with delicate ornamentation, beaded borders, and ribbon-and-laurel motifs characteristic of the Louis XVI decorative repertoire.The interior is designed for the display of orders, medals, or small commemorative objects. The hinged front panel opens to reveal a глубокая ниша lined with dark green textile, providing a refined contrasting background for metal insignia.
