An expressive, one-piece porcelain figure of a lapdog, created at the Meissen manufactory in the second half of the 19th century. The small decorative dog is portrayed seated on its hind legs, with a tilted head, large protruding eyes, and richly modelled curls of fur. The coloration in white and reddish-brown tones accentuates the realistic texture and volume. The figure bears a sentimental and almost portrait-like character, designed to adorn the intimate interiors of bourgeois homes. This sculpture belongs to Meissens classical animal genre, inspired by the traditions of Johann Joachim Kändler.Marks: Blue crossed swords underglaze (Meissen), impressed model number 2880 on the base, moulding marks and kiln vent hole.Dimensions: 23 × 29 × 12 cmCondition: In good condition. An original silver letter opener crafted by the Karl Fabergé firm in Moscow in the last quarter of the 19th century. The piece represents a rare example of decorative sculpture that combines utilitarian function with artistic expression. The handle is modelled as a Russian peasant chopping a log with an axe. The blade, symbolically continuing as a thinning piece of wood, forms a harmonious extension of the composition. The flat root-textured base serves as a stable stand, allowing the object to be displayed vertically as an independent work of art.Marks: Full Fabergé hallmark beneath the double-headed eagle with the inscription K. FABERGÉ, assay mark 84 with the Moscow city coat of arms. An exquisite silver ladle, made in the shape of a boat, is a magnificent example of decorative and applied art of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, created in the neo-Russian style. This artistic tradition combines elements of ancient Russian architecture and ornamentation, which is clearly evident in the design of the ladle. The inside of the ladle and the curved handle are decorated with an elegant floral ornament made using the cloisonné enamel technique. The central element of the composition is a double-headed eagle, the official symbol of the Russian Empire, skillfully decorated with turquoise enamel and framed by a refined gilded edging. The composition is complemented by a complex floral pattern made in rich and pastel shades, creating a harmonious balance and emphasizing the sophistication of the work. Hallmarks: The master`s name in Cyrillic letters NZ. Assay mark of Saint Petersburg with the image of the city coat of arms and the number 84, in an oval shield, corresponding to the last quarter of the 19th century. Dimensions: Length: 17 cm, Width: 9 cm, Height: 5 cm. Weight: 216 g.
