Golden lorgnette 56 samples, amazing work, with precious stones. Magnificent workmanship, attributed to the masters of Faberge. The stem of the tapering handle is wrapped in a delicate spiral shoot with diamond splashes on the leaves and cabochon-cut sapphires in the buds. The teardrop-shaped completion of Art Nouveau skillfully hides the fixing stopper and culminates the decor composition. The movable ring on the handle is a hidden and attractive hook of the opening mechanism. The highest level of workmanship and elegance of the object put it on a par with the best Faberge works of the early 20th century. Stylistically close to the works of Anna Ringe. On the ring and the inner side of the spring there is a hallmark of 56 assay gold of the Russian Empire of 1908-1917. There are also illegible hallmarks of the master. Total weight: 32 gr.Philip Theodor Ring was a Livonian silversmith and Faberge jeweler. He was born in Riga in 1824. In St. Petersburg, he owned a small workshop on Malaya Morskaya 12, producing enameled items (seals, umbrella handles, thermometers, buckles, miniature Easter eggs, caskets) in gold and silver. He was a homeworker in Faberge, branded TR. After his death, in 1894, his widow Anna Karlovna Ringe (1840-1912) became the head of the workshop. (marked AR). After 1912, the workshop was taken over by Anders Mickelson and Vasily Solovyov.
