The large bronze image of St. Nicholas is represented in classical iconography with Christ and the Mother of God, who donate the Bible and the insignia of episcopal authority. According to legend, Nicholas was imprisoned for a dispute with heretics about the faith. At night, Jesus and Mary appeared to him - they released him, and handed over the signs of true faith and power. Bronze casting of this size and full color range is a collector`s item and deserves attention.
