A geographic globe mounted on a bronze dynamic figure of Poseidon with an arc of a cloak and a trident, galloping on the Hippocampus (sea horse). Energetic legs, arms, and the head of a galloping couple are carried out in the baroque, vortex composition. The legs of the base are made in the shape of dolphins. The globe is made of cardboard with a lithographic image on paper according to the project of Professor Dr. Henry Lange (1821-1893). The size of the globe is 36 cm.

Son of the titan Kronos and Rhea, brother of Zeus, Hades, Hera, Demeter and Hestia (Hes. Theog.). When the world was divided after the victory over the titans, Poseidon got the water element.
Hippocampus - Sea deities in ancient Greece and Rome were often depicted on chariots drawn by hippocampus. In particular, the hippocampus were harnessed to the chariot of the Greek god of the seas, Poseidon. In honor of the hippocampus as a symbol of Poseidon, the satellite of Neptune was named.
