Genre painting First curtsy 1904. Pass Israel Abramovich (1868-1935).

The presented work was published on the cover of Niva magazine in 1904, and is dedicated to Peters transformations in everyday life. The boyars daughter (as in a fairy tale), throwing off the old Russian outfit, demonstrates, (possibly on the eve of the assembly), to her father a European dress. He favorably accepts the new fashion with pleasure. His figur is presented, in a traditional boyar costume with a yarmulke, is compositionally emphasized by a tick. The icons in the red corner and the domes of the churches in the window in chorus permeate historical epochs, new and old times, affirming the primacy of Orthodoxy and the old deanery.
