DEMETRE CHIPARUS. The authors figurine of a pretty girl in Pierrots carnival costume, made in Chrysoelephantine technique. The heroine is captured in a high note of singing or recitation. In the rage of the performance, she involuntarily spread her pockets, stretches on her toes, bowing her head cutely. The figure is placed on a cone-shaped onyx base, reminiscent of a circus pedestal. Art Deco. First half of the 20th century. Patinated bronze, ivory. On the back on the cloak are the signatures of the author H Chiparus, and the pilot Etling Paris. Height 22.5 cm.
