Ladies and gentlemen,We invite you to participate in the ANTIQON Marketplace Classic Auction, which will be held on May 6, 2023 at Antiqon Art and Antiques Center, 52 Brīvības Street, Riga, Latvia. In the auction′s catalog you will find works of Russian and European art of the 19th and 20th centuries, porcelain and silver objects, paintings, icons, art castings, collectibles, jewelry, as well as European wristwatches at attractive prices. In the painting section, we especially recommend the unique works of Alexander Konstantinovich Bogomazov (Алекса́ндр Константи́нович Богома́зов) - an outstanding Ukrainian artist, a great follower of Cubo-Futurism, without whom one cannot imagine the completeness of the Russian avant-garde. Six easel paintings of the author from 1915-1916 are truly unique lot, because authentic works by such prominent authors are not often found on the world art market.Attention also deserves the magnificent painting by Konstantin Korovin "Gurzuf. Bouquet of Roses by the Sea", 1917 - one of the enchanting and charming works from the paradise of the Crimea, which the artist loved so much. In contrast to the sultry Korovin′s sun, "Sunset in the Winter Forest" by Julian Klever, a poet of spiritual nature scenes, shimmers with magical light. The theme of the forest is continued by Alexandra Makovskaya with her painting "The Edge of the Forest", 1887 - a deep reflection on man, his work and life.No true connoisseur of beauty can pass by the magnificent painting "Nymph of Venus" by Janos Gabriel Stein. The Embodiment of Love", which in all its splendor depicts a charming, tender and submissive nymph - the embodiment of ardent love. No less sensual is the Romantic Painting of a Young and Sad Bathing Nymph, a shining example of the Russian school of painting in the mid-nineteenth century, depicting a beautiful half-naked girl in a moment of pensive contemplation by a stream. Do not miss the opportunity to buy the pearl of any collection the work by Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky "Sailboat on the Shore", this work is worth to be in museum. In the Applied Arts collection of the upcoming auction, we recommend that you pay special attention to the creation of the genius Karl Faberge - the Russian «Sunrise» cigarette case in 14-carat gold, inlaid with a ruby cabochon cut and a diamond. A truly amazing trophy for those who are not only fond of art but also of hunting can be a large silver ladle with cloisonné enamelling of a snipe. The animal theme is continued by a silver Fabergé table hare, 84. stamped with grenade eye buttons and stamped by Master Victor Aarne, St. Petersburg, turn of 1900. You can feel like a real monarch when you enrich your collection with a large Russian samovar in silver hallmarked 84 from the trading house of I. E. MOROZOV, supplier to the imperial court.Other exhibits include a magnificent pair of salon jardiniere "Swans", a luxurious serving set of gilded bronze with surtout de table mirrors from the time of Napoleon III, a magnificent desk of blocked wood and gilded bronze in the style of Louis XV, a beautifully carved French desk in the Baroque neo-Gothic style from the 19th century and a whole range of magnificent jewelry and clocks.Welcome to the world of art and antiques!
