The corrugated glass shape repeating the quilted sleeves of the 16th century, a bearded mascaron with a collar at the neck and a flat hat-cap - stylize the male figure and fashion of the late Middle Ages. Subtly noted Renaissance features of the proportions of the handle and flowerpots on the base complete the impressive historical excursion. French hallmarks: Minerva in the octagon - 925 sterling silver on the lid and base. Unreadable diamond-shaped manufacturer`s mark on the base.
