Peter Loskutov. Silver, gilded trick box. Moscow 1893. Stylizes Russian folk crafts in a neo-Russian style. It is a cozy silver box-splint with a double, gilded braid around the perimeter of the body, and a triangle of tablecloth with fringe on the hinged lid. Playfully presented on four bun legs and gracefully decorated with the texture of heavy fabric embossing. The inside is completely gilded. Length 17 cm, width approx. 11 cm, height approx. 8.7 cm. Weight 545 g. Assayer Alexander Smirnov, Moscow 1893, 84th standard silver. Masters marks PL in a square shield.
