Symphonion music cabinet made in solid walnut veneer at the Leipzig manufactory around 1890. An elegant apparatus with a beautiful architectural pommel and decorative balusters. A powerful stepped frieze in the lower part in the Neo-Renaissance style. The lower part contains 20 more perforated discs (diameter 62 cm). The coiled spring is wound up with a crank. The automatic mechanism is activated when a 5 pfennigkopek coin is inserted. Height 247 x 88 x 52 cm. The mechanism is fully functional, the case is in good condition with age signs of wear.
