French silver jug with Art Nouveau glass, with Riga import stamps, 1908-1917. A gentle and poetic piece of French Art Nouveau with a graceful emblem of sprouting ivy. The stringy handle follows the silhouette of the stems and flows into the silver neck and lid, with live plant shoots. The monogram on the spout and the dedication engraving under it (03/18/1902) probably indicate the time of manufacture and the history of the item. On the neck of the handle there are Riga import stamps certifying 84 silver fineness and next to it there is a worn out rhombus of a French master.
