Fireplace set consisting of three parts. Each is made of gilded bronze and decorated with decorative elements in porcelain, in the Manufacture de Sevres style, depicting a romantic garden scene. The ensemble implements a program of rural idyll, paradise. Pastoral paintings of birds of paradise, dates and a rural house are proof of this. The watch case bears direct references to the Renaissance originality of France. Three dominant flowerpots unite the set. Side vases, in the form of antique incense burners, hide candlesticks and elevate the rural idyll of France to the standard antique samples.
