Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver large and impressive wine ewer, the body beautifully hand engraved with stylised leaves and scrolls, the leaf capped double scroll handle with squeeze lever to open the hinged lid, mounted with a floral finial. The four cartooches are engraved "Glasgow Bowlers Champion Cup 1862", "Won by Ringston Bowling Club, Hugh Fulton President", other names and the Glasgows Coat of arms. Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), Glasgow, year 1861 (Q), Makers mark WCS (William Clarke Shaw).
