A rare silver salt cellar in the shape of a throne, made of 84 zolotnik silver, represents an exquisite example of decorative art from the late Art Nouveau period in Imperial Russia. The composition features a tall architectural back, stylized ornaments on the sides, intricate pierced work, and fine hand engraving. The interior gilding emphasizes the ceremonial function of the piece. The throne form is a traditional Russian symbol of hospitality, commonly used in formal table settings.
