A Swiss-made pocket watch executed in the classical tradition of Neuchâtel, one of the principal centers of European horology. The case is crafted in 14-karat gold and decorated with a refined engine-turned guilloché pattern, centered by a medallion that lends the piece a restrained decorative elegance characteristic of the late Historicist period.
The enamel dial, featuring Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds register, is designed in a строг and functional manner. The signature Borel Neuchâtel attests to its affiliation with the high-quality Swiss watchmaking tradition. The movement is manually wound, equipped with an anchor escapement and a Breguet overcoil balance spring, and fitted with 15 jewels, in accordance with the standards of reliable and precise pocket watches of its time.
The movement displays a classical architecture with well-finished bridges and a screw balance. The inner covers bear assay marks and a serial number, confirming authenticity and quality of manufacture. The piece combines functionality, engineering precision, and aesthetic refinement, typical of Swiss watches at the turn of the century.
