Four sconces made in the style of Napoleon III, decorated with gilded figures in the form of female winged deities - milusines, with a fish tail and a pair of membranous wings. Their appearance in mythology is associated with the early European Middle Ages. Milusin are often confused with sirens, who still had sharp bird-like claws on their feet.
