A small devotional icon depicting Saint Alexander Nevsky, executed in the traditional technique of finift enamel painting and set within a silver frame. The central enamel image represents the saintly prince according to the established Orthodox iconographic tradition, emphasising his veneration as the heavenly protector of warriors, defender of the Orthodox faith, and one of the most revered saints in Russian history.
The miniature enamel painting is distinguished by its finely rendered details and continues the traditions of Russian jewellery craftsmanship of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The silver mount, with its restrained decorative design, enhances the intimate devotional character of the object, intended for personal use and prayer.
Hallmarks: Master’s mark with the initials “АН”. Silver assay mark “84”.
