A French Art Nouveau console table, executed in the style of Louis Majorelle, one of the leading masters of the École de Nancy. The piece is constructed from solid wood and veneered with fine woods. The square top is decorated with pictorial marquetry depicting a landscape, composed of veneers in various species of wood, a technique characteristic of French cabinetmaking at the turn of the 20th century.

The construction is distinguished by its visual lightness and expressive sculptural quality. Four elegantly curved legs are joined by shaped aprons and a lower shelf, providing additional stability while emphasizing the table’s vertical composition. Flowing lines, organic forms and the decorative treatment of the structure are characteristic features of the Art Nouveau style. The high quality of craftsmanship and refinement of the marquetry distinguish the piece as a notable example of French decorative arts from around 1900.
