A solid walnut console table dating from the early 20th century, executed in the Art Deco style. The architectural composition is supported by four substantial columns with complex moulded bases, united by a rectangular plinth. The square top is carved with a distinctive undulating wave motif, characteristic of the decorative vocabulary of the Art Deco period. Its restrained geometry, monumental proportions and finely crafted walnut construction exemplify the refined aesthetic of European furniture design from the first quarter of the 20th century.
