An original Bauhaus style serving trolley, produced in Europe during the 20th century. The piece embodies the aesthetic principles of European Modernism, where functionality, structural clarity and restrained geometry became the defining characteristics of twentieth-century industrial design.
The composition is defined by the interplay of a chromed tubular steel frame and two rectangular black glass shelves. The principal structural and visual feature is the large circular frame that unifies the entire construction into a cohesive sculptural composition. Its flowing geometry creates a striking counterpoint to the rectilinear glass surfaces, resulting in a dynamic yet harmonious silhouette.
Mounted on castors, the tubular chrome frame provides both mobility and visual lightness while emphasizing the industrial character of the design. The contrast between polished chrome and deep black glass reinforces the graphic quality of the composition and reflects the formal vocabulary associated with Bauhaus-inspired furniture and the European Modern Movement.
With its timeless aesthetic and practical functionality, the trolley integrates seamlessly into both mid-century and contemporary interiors, standing as a refined example of furniture inspired by the enduring principles of modernist design.
Dimensions: 82 × 52 × 39 cm.
Condition: Good condition, displaying age-appropriate wear and signs of use consistent with its period. The chrome-plated frame and black glass shelves remain well preserved. Minor surface wear is present but does not affect the structural integrity, functionality or visual appeal of the piece.
