A picturesque Southern landscape with a country estate, attributed to Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (1817–1900), the distinguished Russian marine painter and master of 19th-century Romantic landscape painting.

The composition presents a panoramic view of undulating countryside, possibly in Crimea, with a white country house situated on elevated ground amid dense vegetation. In the foreground, a country road is animated by two figures in traditional dress walking into the distance, accompanied by a grazing cow. A tall, slender poplar on the right provides a striking vertical accent, balancing the gently sweeping contours of the surrounding hills.

The painting is distinguished by its subtle treatment of light and atmosphere. Soft evening illumination unifies the golden-ochre hillsides, shaded clusters of trees and silvery-blue sky scattered with delicate clouds. The carefully orchestrated alternation of sunlit and shaded passages creates a convincing sense of spatial recession and enhances the lyrical character of the landscape.

The panoramic composition, atmospheric lighting and natural integration of genre motifs reveal stylistic affinities with Aivazovsky`s Southern landscapes of the second half of the 19th century.

The painting is presented in an elaborately carved, dark-toned frame with gilt foliate decoration.
