Jean-Louis Voille was a French painter and portraitist of the Age of Enlightenment who worked for both the French court and the Imperial Court of Russia. During the 1770s-1790s he became one of the leading portrait painters in St Petersburg, producing state and intimate portraits of members of the Imperial family, the aristocracy and the Russian elite at the close of the eighteenth century.
