This magnificent Cave à liqueur, made in the third quarter of the 19th century by TAHAN, is an example of outstanding craftsmanship and elegance. Its unique design, decorated with brass and tortoiseshell inlays in the Boulle style, makes it an outstanding attribute of a man’s study, created for leisurely conversations and the enjoyment of fine drinks. The bar has a removable gilded insert that holds four bottles for spirits, decorated with golden designs of flowers and stars. The set also includes sixteen faceted glasses, decorated in the same style. Signature on the lock: “Tahan Ft Rue de la Paix” Dimensions when closed: height 26 cm, width 34 cm, depth 26 cm. Completely professionally restored.

Oval coffee table in mahogany and gilded bronze in the Louis XVI style. Late nineteenth century based on the model of Adam Weisweiler. The table top has a shape close to an oval with four semicircular protrusions, to which figured elegant table legs with gilded mascarons are attached in the lower part. Bronze overlays and linear edging of the edge of the lid and its wooden sides (table waist) are made with high quality casting, embossing and gilding. The table top is decorated over the entire surface with a geometric marquetry pattern, which contrasts beautifully with the gilded edging of the table. The decor uses motifs traditional for the era of classicism, made in the antique spirit - ribbon and floral patterns, flower heads, cornucopia, figurines of lying rams, maiden heads. The table legs are completed at the bottom with bronze shoe-shaped plates with a relief foliage pattern. In the front part of the table (at the waist) there is a drawer lid. It, due to the decor, similar to the decor repeating the gilded bronze decor of other sides of the table waist, is carefully hidden. Material: wood, mahogany veneer, carving, polishing, bronze, casting, embossing, Dimensions: 99 x 64 x 72 cm.

William Etty. Nude. Early 19th century. The figure of a naked girl, in a free pose, is placed diagonally and occupies a central place in the work. The heroine is highlighted. She, as if after bathing, casually poses on thrown off clothes, in a park landscape. The romantic nature of nature, a picturesque English park, is combined with the temptation of beauty. And it sounds like a bodily embodiment of the idyll so popular in sentimentalism at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. On the back of the canvas are stamps of the owners and auction numbers. Dimensions of the picture without a frame: 45.5x57.5 cm.
