The lid is decorated with a contemporary Genevan enamel miniature depicting Venus in the forge of Vulcan, in opaque white and pale blue enamel sashes. Case made of hammered yellow gold, decorated with flowers and leaves. With blooming buds in every corner. The sides and base are decorated with translucent, blue, guilloche enamel, in thin belts of white and pale blue enamels. Unofficial maker`s mark 3e in Paris, Hallmarks of Paris 750 gold after 1838. Stamp 3e. 1798-1809. Weight of snuffbox: 200 gr.
