Elegant Swedish silver dessert tongs executed in the Neo-Rococo style, distinguished by their refined asymmetrical modelling characteristic of the decorative arts of the first half of the twentieth century. The pierced gripping ends are fashioned as stylised shells and scrolling rocaille motifs, creating an impression of remarkable lightness and sculptural sophistication. The ring handles ensure comfortable use, while the graceful construction reflects their intended purpose for serving confectionery, biscuits, sugar cubes and delicate desserts.

These tongs represent a fine example of Swedish decorative silver produced during the interwar period, when traditional historicist styles were reinterpreted through exceptional craftsmanship and the restrained elegance of Scandinavian design. Equally suited for practical use and discerning collectors, the piece embodies the enduring quality of twentieth-century European silver.
