A silver rouble of the Russian Empire dated 1877, issued during the reign of Emperor Alexander II (1855–1881) and struck at the Saint Petersburg Mint. The coin belongs to the classic monetary issues of the second half of the nineteenth century and represents one of the most recognizable denominations of late Imperial Russian coinage.

The obverse depicts the state emblem of the Russian Empire in the form of the crowned double-headed eagle bearing the Imperial regalia. The eagle’s breast is charged with the Moscow coat of arms depicting Saint George the Victorious. A circular inscription surrounds the composition, while the date 1877 and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark “С.П.Б.” appear below.

The reverse bears the prominent inscription “РУБЛЬ”, with the denomination and year of issue set within a wreath of oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon and surmounted by the Imperial crown. The strictly symmetrical composition is characteristic of Russian coinage produced during the era of Alexander II’s Great Reforms.

The coin retains a well-preserved relief and a natural silver patina, emphasizing its historical authenticity and numismatic appeal.
