An elegant European sewing etui dating from the turn of the twentieth century. Preserved in its original fitted presentation case lined with blue velvet, the set includes finely crafted steel scissors with silver Rococo Revival handles together with sewing accessories. The richly cast silver handles display scrolling rocaille ornament and foliate decoration characteristic of the Neo Rococo style.

Such refined sewing sets formed an essential part of a lady`s personal accessories and were intended for delicate needlework and minor garment repairs. Beyond their practical function, they were prestigious luxury objects, frequently presented as gifts and appreciated for the quality of their craftsmanship and refined decorative design.

Hallmarks: Partially legible assay and maker`s marks on the silver components.

Dimensions: Height: 6.5 cm. Width: 12.5 cm.

Condition: Good condition. Preserved in the original fitted case. Minor traces of age and careful use consistent with the period. Hallmarks remain only partially legible.
