Robert Harper. Grand silver water jug with gilding. London 1876. Repeats the shape of a Renaissance vessel with a pear-shaped body, a wavy bell of the neck and a rocaille handle. Delightfully decorated with a plastic chord of baroque shells, wrapped in ligature of plant shoots, with garlands of roses along the facade. The reason for order is the Renaissance belts of pearls at the base and neck. Makers marks and London hallmarks 925 silver 1876. Height 47 cm. Weight: 2166 g. Imported stamps A. Tillander, Finland.
