Origin: Acquired by civil engineer Karl Mathias Hassenkamm, presumably at the auction of the estate of Prince Waldemar of Denmark, at the Sagførernes auction house, May 15, 1939. This real vase is believed to be one of a pair mentioned in catalog No. 534: Two vases, blue and gilded, decorated with cupids in medallions. Prince Waldemar of Denmark was the younger brother of Queen Maria Feodorovna of Denmark.
