Magnificent knightly armor in black drawing, fully armed with a shield and halberd, 183 cm high, from the famous Swedish manor of Iitakallio in Dyursholm. It belonged to the descendants of the ancient knightly family of Rosencrantz, mentioned by Shakespeare in Hamlet as honest and noble servants of the Danish king. The armor is a visible symbol of the code of honor carried and preserved through the centuries by the heirs of a great noble family.
