Icon The Last Supper. Made in the form of a four-leaf cartouche. The festive icon of beautiful writing, made by the master icon painter in the third quarter of 19th century. Demonstrates the broken circle of the apostles around the table, with Christ in the center. The extreme figure on the right, the only one with his back turned to Jesus, is Judas, the salt shaker is facing him. 

Wood, gesso, tempera, gilding. The Last Supper is an event in New Testament history, the last meal of Jesus Christ with His twelve closest disciples, during which He established the sacrament of the Eucharist and predicted the betrayal of one of the disciples. H-35cm.
