French gilded snuffbox of the late 18th century, with enamel decoration and painting. Round snuff box, on the lid, with a noble blue guilloche background, contains an oval medallion with an equestrian miniature of Alexander the Great. The ruler of empires is represented among the warriors, on a white, rearing horse Bucephalus, in a red cloak and a helmet with a plume. The edges of the product are decorated with cloisonne enamel in red and green tones, with floral motifs. Illegible, erased maker`s marks. Late French gold hallmarks. Diameter 7 cm. Weight: 125 gr.
