Half-length representation of Christ Pantocrator executed in the traditional Orthodox iconographic canon, with the blessing gesture of the right hand and an open Gospel held in the left. The face of Christ is painted in the Academic style of the second half of the 19th century, distinguished by soft modeling, balanced symmetry, and pronounced spiritual expressiveness. The color palette is based on deep red and blue-green tones of the garments, reinforcing the solemn and contemplative character of the image.The icon is enclosed in a silver-gilt oklad of exceptional quality, produced by the renowned Moscow factory of Ivan Semyonovich Gubkin. The halo and borders are richly decorated with finely chased vegetal ornamentation and floral motifs arranged in a rhythmic relief composition. The depth of the chasing, precision of detail, and uniform gilding emphasize the ceremonial nature of the work and confirm its place among the finest examples of Moscow silversmithing of the mid-19th century.Hallmarks: Maker’s mark in Cyrillic “ИГ” corresponding to the workshop of Ivan Semyonovich Gubkin; Moscow Assay Office mark with the initials of the district assayer “АС” and the date “1865”; State silver standard mark “84”.Dimensions: 32 × 26.5 cmCondition: Good.
