Russian beer mug made of silver. Moses Ivanov. St. Petersburg 1872.

Russian, silver beer mug from 1872 in neo-Russian style. Conical in shape with a hinged lid, stylizing bast products made of wood and wicker. The stop of the lid mechanism, crowning the massive handle, is made in the shape of a heart. The front side of the lid is decorated with ornaments. The gilding inside is well preserved. San Petersburg hallmarks of silver 84 samples, 1872. Authors mark: MI in a rectangular shield. Moses Ivanov, 1816–1893. Silversmith since 1849. He had a workshop on Ligovka 72. Height: 13 cm.
