Bronze, copper-cast cross crucifixion with three enamels. The main symbol of Christianity. Represents the sacrificial atonement for sins and the resurrection from the cross. Narratively supplemented by the upcoming ones: Martha and the Mother of God and St. John and Longinus the Centurion. The crucifixion is based on the skull of Adam, an oblique crossbar with Jerusalem. Crowned with mourning and soul-receiving angels and the Savior not made by hands. On the large crossbar there is text between the moon and the sun (both day and night): We worship your cross and glorify your resurrection. Fine quality casting. Well preserved. Russia. 19th century.
