Bronze Jewelry Chest In Neo-gothic Style From The Napoleon III Period

We present you with a large jewellry chest crafted in bronze with medal patina in the neo-gothic style and hailing from the Napoleon II period. It boasts practical dimensions (34cm x 35cm) and intricate ornamentation. Its entrance is concealed by a mechanism, rendering it invisible. The chests decoration features figures, columns, friezes, and repeating motifs reminiscent of techniques employed during the era of Violet le Duc. It is equipped with two handles for easy transport, as it weighs around twenty kilograms. The interior is lined with mahogany for delicate jewelry storage, while the lid interior is padded with light blue taffeta. The condition of this object is very good, despite its old age.

We present you this exquisite grisaille painting representing a moonlit harbour scene in the style favoured by the French artist Charles-François Lacroix de Marseille (1700-1783). He was an artist known for creating landscape and marine paintings in a manner influenced by the styles of Claude Joseph Vernet, Jean-Joseph Kapeller (1702-1790), and Henry dArles. The original frame shows some minor signs of wear. This artwork dates back to the late 18th to early 19th century and measures 64x54 cm, including the frame.This painting can be accompanied by another artwork depicting a similarly peaceful setting, which is available in our inventory. These pieces can be purchased either as a set or individually.

We present you with this unique oval portrait painting rendered in oil on canvas. It depicts a young girl from an esteemed family adorned in a dark blue dress with a small lace collar and a white scarf. The young girls expression is serious and contemplative. It is probable that she is the sibling of the other girl, depicted in the artwork featured in our stores prior advertisement, and as such, they can be offered for purchase as a complementary set. The gilded wooden frame is adorned with ribbons culminating in a bow at its summit, indicative of the artistic aesthetics prevalent during the epoch of Louis Philippe.The measurements of this painting are 65 cm in height without the frame and 92 cm with the frame. As for its width, it measures 54 cm without the frame and 72 cm with the frame.
